Colin Shah has been providing personal training services in Washington, D.C. since 1998. He founded his own personal training business in 2000; in 2004 Washingtonian magazine named him one of Washington’s best personal trainers.
Colin brings a holistic approach to fitness. He works from a simple central premise: physical exercise performed over time leads to enhanced muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and quality of life. He works closely with clients to ensure that fitness, in conjunction with diet and overall body awareness becomes a lifestyle, rather than a sometime thing.
Colin is a former U.S. Army Infantry soldier, an ultra-endurance mountain biker, an elite level tri-athlete, and the owner of his own business, This unique blend of personal discipline and life experience colors his approach to training: he works with clients to formulate concrete goals and then helps achieve the level of commitment necessary to realize them. He also fleshes out customized goal-oriented regimens that clients can sustain over time. This is not a “he-man” approach to fitness; rather, it seeks to establish a principle of well being as a long-term approach to all of life.
Colin has worked with scores of people traveling to New York, Canada, Belgium, London, and St. Bart’s to develop a well-rounded approach to fitness that makes people look better, feel better, and keep coming back for more. |
